The game had previously been announced by Nacon back in 2022 with a brief, menacing cinematic trailer of a Terminator looking for someone in an abandoned building, but it was simply called "" and not a lot of information was provided.
Alongside revealing the game's title, Nacon's new trailer and "" feature revealed that is a first-person survival shooter game with solo and co-op multiplayer modes as players face both human and mechanical threats across the open world map. The trailer didn't feature any gameplay footage but showed two survivors scouring a remote location for resources before being spotted by a T-800, while the "" clip shows further concept art of various gunfights across the post-apocalyptic world, and the survivors' base.
' storyline expands on the original story with a completely original storyline that includes both famous characters, and new ones, set in an unexplored era of lore. Nacon's game is set in 2009, a few years after Judgment Day and before John Connor founded the Resistance. In fact, the game's protagonists are unaware of the existence of the Terminators at first and only learn through teaming up with other survivors on their journey.
