Apple is all set to unveil its newest iteration of the iPhone, the iPhone 14, at its “Far Out” event scheduled for September 7, just a week from now. The Cupertino-based tech giant is also expected to launch the new Apple Watch 8. Although much has been made of the new pill-shaped and punch hole notch design of the iPhone 14 Pro variants, the upcoming Apple Watch Pro is expected to feature a massive 47mm flat display, matching the design ideology of the iPhone 13 Pro.
According to rumours, Apple is expected to launch 3 variants of the Apple Watch this year – Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch 8 and the new Apple Watch Pro (Rugged). While the Apple Watch SE is expected to be an affordable and toned-down version of the Apple Watch 8, the new Apple Watch Pro or Apple Watch Rugged is a whole new watch, housing even better features and specs than the already impressive Apple Watch 8.
According to the Japanese website Mac Otakara, the rugged Apple Watch Pro will feature a large 47mm case and a flat display, much like the design of the iPhone 13 Pro. This would make the Apple Watch Pro 7 percent larger than the largest standard Apple Watch model. Earlier, Apple analyst Ross Young revealed that 45mm won't be the largest variant of the Apple Watch 8 as the company is expected to launch a new 50mm variant this year.
Earlier, Analyst Mark Gurman tipped that it may feature a dedicated body temperature sensor. The Pro model is tipped to get a price tag of around $900, nearly the same price as the iPhone 13 Pro.
