Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy remaster announced
thesixthaxis.comCapcom has announced another Ace Attorney remaster, with Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy bringing together the fourth, fifth and sixth games in the series with a brand new HD remaster. The trilogy will release in early 2024 for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC.
The trilogy of games include Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice. Having tried to take a step away from the series’ original figurehead with the introduction of Apollo Justice, the popularity of Phoenix Wright won out with Dual Destinies and in Spirit of Justice.
Let’s pick on one of these three games, Spirit of Justice, and look back on the original review. back in 2016, Jim said:
“In many ways Spirit of Justice can be likened to one of Capcom’s other recent flagships, Monster Hunter: Generations. Both hail from fantastic game series though neither are particularly ground-breaking. Instead, they’ve simply uprooted their tried and tested formulas, plonking them in a slightly different setting with new bells and whistles attached. Where other franchises are demonised for failing to constantly evolve, Ace Attorney is one that benefits from remaining untouched, propped up by lovable characters and some superb writing.”
