Nintendo should have made an Animal Crossing kart-racing game instead of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC. While the latteris still incredibly popular, the game is a remake of the Wii U version. In addition, the 48 DLC tracks, releasing throughout 2022, are all taken from previous entries in the series. New Horizons was a massive success and created new fans all over the world. Nintendo could capitalize on the desire for more Animal Crossing contentby creating a fun and exciting new kart-racing game.
Plenty of companies have tried to capture the hearts of fans, with titles similar to Mario Kart. Part of the reason for the success of Nintendo's powerhouse series is the colorful cast of characters. Players have grown up with the Mario crew for decades, and they are still beloved by fans today. Similarly, the company included some of the best villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Players spend hours talking to and growing attached to the residents on their island. Isabelle has already been featured in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but even more fan-favorite characters could appear in an Animal Crossing kart-racer, which sounds better than more Mario Kart 8 DLC.

New Horizons alone has 397 different villagers, giving Nintendo a lot of choice for Animal Crossing villagers. There are, however, a handful of characters that have resonated with many players. Fans can spend hours, or even days, trying to invite the colorful teddy-bear Stitches, the Egyptian cat Ankha, or the smug cat Raymond to their island.
