A new Star Wars fan poster imagines Cameron Monaghan playing a live-action Cal Kestis in Disney+’s Andor. Since acquiring Lucasfilm, Disney has brought a galaxy far, far away to its streaming service. Following the divisive Star Wars sequel trilogy, the franchise's first live-action television series, The Mandalorian, has done an impressive job of adhering to the already-established universe. Its success has resulted in the development of other shows, including The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka, and Andor, aimed at fleshing out fan-favorite characters and stories that began on the silver screen.
The live-action Star Wars TV shows have used their stories to bring in characters famous for their appearances in the animated series. For example, Bo-Katan and Ahsoka Tano both had supporting roles on The Mandalorian season 2, and bounty hunter Cad Bane was a surprise villain in The Book of Boba Fett. Obi-Wan Kenobi is continuing this tradition by showing the Grand Inquisitor in live-action. It remains to be seen if Andor will follow suit with its own live-action debut, but one person is hoping someone from the games makes the leap.
