Though Star Wars Rebels should have always been considered essential, the Disney+ live-action shows have finally made this a reality. While it may have never been as popular as Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Rebels is clearly influencing the events of current and future Disney+ projects. Independently, however, Rebels has provided memorable characters, lore, and worldbuilding in the Star Wars universe, all of which deserve to be recognized and celebrated.
The Ghost Crew, Star Wars Rebels’ loveable family, becomes part of the fledgling rebellion against the Empire, helping people across the galaxy in whatever way they can. The show focuses on all the things that make Star Wars so enduringly popular. It tells stories of the Rebellion, the Jedi, the Sith, the Empire, family, and hope in the face of impossible odds. It also showcases some incredible lightsaber duels and contains daring rescue missions aplenty. Star Wars Rebels truly offers something for every type of Star Wars fan.

Given its wide breadth of storytelling, it is no wonder that Star Wars Rebels has provided several jumping-off points for the Disney+ live-action shows.
