Rupert Friend teases a lot of cameos and Easter eggs in Obi-Wan Kenobi. After The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, Star Wars' next Disney+ series will focus on the fan-favorite character played by Ewan McGregor. But aside from its titular character, fans also have a lot more to look forward to in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
It's no secret that Lucasfilm when to great lengths to land on the story of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Before it became the limited series for Disney+, it was supposed to be a film. Months before they started production, it went through a total overhaul, which resulted in hiring a brand new writer in Joby Harold, replacing its original scribe, Hossein Amini. Ultimately, they were able to crack the story which includes the return of certain familiar Star Wars characters such as Hayden Christensen's Darth Vader, Joel Edgerton's Uncle Owen, and Bonnie Piesse's Aunt Beru.

But, as it turns out, Obi-Wan Kenobi will have more cameos. That's according to Friend, who plays Grand Inquisitor in the show. Talking to HeyUGuys on the red carpet of Anatomy of a Scandal, the actor opens up about his experience and teases that the Disney+ project will have more guest stars and Easter eggs. “If it’s possible to be any more excited than folks already are, I would be. I think [the series] is one of the most thrilling additions to the Star Wars canon. I think Ewan McGregor is doing things with that role that is a dream for fans of the original films. You know, we can’t obviously have Alec Guinness back, but I just think Ewan was absolutely born to play that part. And wonderful cameos from people I obviously can’t tell you, but Easter eggs
