Hamill's role as Skywalker became more relevant in the last decade when JJ Abrams launched the final trilogy that centered on finding the legendary Jedi. Hamill reprised the role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, where Skywalker dies from using a Force projection across the galaxy.
