AMD's Ryzen 9 9950X is looking to be a super efficient chip in the latest leak while the Ryzen 9 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X & Ryzen 5 9600X have been tested at default TDP.
The latest leaks come from Geekbench 6 database (via @Benchleaks) and Anandtech forum member, igor_kavinski. Starting first with the high-end chip, Igor has once again shared the performance figures of what allegedly appears to be an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16-Core ES CPU. Previously, the same chip was tested at a 60W PPT, and now the chip has been tested at 90W
For starters, the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X CPU has an officially rated TDP of 170W and a PPT above that which can be fully enabled using PBO. The chip has a maximum frequency "FMAX" of 5.85 GHz and we have recently seen the chip running at up to 5730 MHz in leaked benchmarks within Geekbench 6.
The latest performance tests were once again evaluated within the Blender 3.3 benchmark in the three main tests, Monster, Junkshop, and Classroom. In terms of clock speeds, the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X CPU is seen running at up to 5050 MHz with the 90W PPT which is -650 MHz below its officially rated 5.70 GHz boost clock. At 60W, the chip ran at an even lower clock speed of up to 4085 MHz. The chip was running with a custom PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) and CO (Curve Optimizer) profile under water cooling.
In terms of performance figures, the chip scored 227.5 points on the Monster test, 150.6 points on the Junkshop test, and 108.8 points on the Classroom test. Following is how the Ryzen 9 9950X CPU stacks up:
