In April, AMD launched its Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, and even in its second month, the chip is breaking sales records at Mindfactory in Germany.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 3D V-Cache CPU launched at a price of $449 US, the same as the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Since it launched, the CPU has been breaking sales records and gamers are buying the chip like hotcakes. The reason for this popularity is due to the fact that the chip offers great gaming performance at great value.
For comparison, the Intel Core i9-13900K is a $550 US+ chip and for $100 US less, you can get even better performance on the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D. The chip is so popular that it has also started to crunch away the sales of the 7950X3D and 7900X3D. This made some retailers drop the prices for the higher core count 3D V-Cache parts. Meanwhile, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D has seen no similar price reduction due to its popularity.
In statistics shared by TechEpiphany from several weeks, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D secured 4,720 unit sales at German retailer, MindFactory. For comparison, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D with some amazing discounts, only managed 2510 unit sales. That's almost a 2x gain over the predecessor for the 7800X3D.
At some of the major US retailers, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D can now be seen on the top 10 CPU & Best Sellers list. Newegg has the CPU positioned at 5th place whereas at Amazon, the CPU still has some catching up to do with its predecessor which sits at 4th place while the 7800X3D sits at 9th place. The CPU retails at $449 US at both retailers but as a part of a new game promo, buyers will get a free copy of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor with it.
