Horror fans have been looking forward to Alan Wake 2 for a long time, but the game is going to have a lot of competition to deal with in October. Games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Forza Motorsport, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be hogging the spotlight, and it seems Remedy have decided to shift their game's release date a bit in order to hopefully give the game a bit more time to breathe.
An update from the Alan Wake 2 team: we're moving Alan Wake 2's launch from October 17 to October 27.
October is an amazing month for game launches and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games.

I know horror games like to release around Halloween, but Remedy might want to consider moving all the way out of October. A December or early 2024 release might really let Alan Wake 2 breathe.
Haven’t been keeping up with Alan Wake
