Alan Wake 2 launches on October 27, but ahead of that, players can preload the much-anticipated sequel so they can get started the second it unlocks. Developer Remedy Entertainment has now confirmed when preloading begins (on console at least) and how much space the game will take up on your storage device.
Preloading begins 48 hours prior to launch on Xbox and PlayStation, which means players can start preloading on October 24 at 9 PM PT / 12 AM ET / 7 AM GMT. You can see a breakdown of preloading start times below.

Remedy did not say anything about preloading on PC. The game is exclusive to the Epic Games Store at launch, which is no surprise given that Epic funded the development of Alan Wake 2.
In terms of file size, the PC edition (86GB) is the largest, followed by PS5 (85GB), and then Xbox Series X|S (82GB).
Alan Wake 2 reviews will begin to appear online on October 26, so keep checking back with GameSpot for more on the critical reception to the game. The game launches on October 27 at 12 AM ET.
