House of Gucci was a box office hit and although it may have left many fans wanting more, cast member Adam Driver has revealed that he was ready to say his goodbyes.
Driver, who stars as the luxurious Maurizio Gucci in the Universal film, was looking forward to taking a much-needed break. Along with being the main lead in House of Gucci, Driver also starred in two other movies this year: Annette and The Last Duel. Burnout could have played a major role as to why Driver was more than ready for the experience of making House of Gucci to be in the past.

The production for House of Gucci began in February 2021 and didn’t wrap until months later in May. It’s safe to say that the process of shooting was lengthy. Driver stated during an interview with W Magazine, “After 14 hours of being a Gucci, I was ready for it to be over. In general, I leave jobs immediately. I haven’t been to a wrap party since Girls. I just want to get the character out of my system and go home.”
Driver opened up in an interview about how challenging it was to play a character whose own morals and way of living are completely alien to who he is in real life. “In some ways, House of Gucci was the most difficult. I do not live in the same world as Maurizio Gucci," Driver said. "The way he picks up things that are valuable and discards them, the way he is the most elegant man - those qualities were interesting to think about.”
Despite the process of stepping into the character of Maurizio Gucci being somewhat gruesome for Driver, he seems to have thoroughly enjoyed working with director Ridley Scott. He expressed, “I fucking love him. He uses four cameras at a minimum, and it’s like
