When Microsoft announced that it would be acquiring Activision Blizzard, the gaming community seemed equally excited about the prospect of seeing Bobby Kotick booted out as it was about a new Crash Bandicoot game. It increasingly looks like his days are numbered with the company he's been part of for over three decades. Unfortunately, however, it also looks like his final payslip will be a generous one.
A recent report that sheds light on the acquisition reveals that Kotick is an expensive person to get rid of. With his shares in Activision totalling $410,142,075, and a severance agreement of $14,592,302 apparently assured, Microsoft would be shelling out a minimum of $424,734,377 to get rid of the figure that is accused of not just overseeing the alleged abuse at Activision Blizzard, but playing an active role in it.

As revealed by The Verge, forcing Kotick out won't be as simple as many had hoped for. Unsurprisingly, it seems that the self-confessed "compulsive capitalist" has done all he can to secure himself a ridiculously over-the-top golden parachute. The report puts the already extravagant $424,734,377 figure as the minimum, too, as this does not take Kotick's stock options into account. It's likely millions will be added to his last paycheck should he exit the company.
