It's a good thing that the woes of the modern world aren't quite as extreme as 's exaggerated take, but it's still fascinating to imagine a real-life version of Based on the reveal trailer, the series is far closer to photorealism now than ever before, and it's come a long way since the top-down view of the earliest entries or the chunky 3D introduced in Even so, there's still a ways to go, but a fan project bridges the gap in a way that the games never can.
YouTuber Andrew Levitt translated the trailer to a whole new dimension with a live-action recreation, and the results are impressively accurate.
