Naturally, the new option to play with a higher frame rate on consoles has its caveats, so you should expect lower graphical settings on your respective platform. According to the developer, the performance mode "scales the graphical resolution down," though they have not specified the exact resolution as of now. If you're not willing to compromise A Plague Tale: Requiem's rather impressive graphical fidelity, you can always stick with the default resolution mode available to select in the game's options at any time. However, that'll mean sticking with 30fps.

While the new performance mode isn't available on Xbox Series S, this version of the game has also received the new update today with several bug fixes and minor quality-of-life improvements.
