Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin has been announced by Frontier Developments, a new RTS coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. There will be four factions to play as in the game with both a singleplayer campaign as well as multiplayer, which will have 1v1 and 2v2 options. The multiplayer will be cross-platform too.
The setting of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is Ghur, Realm of the Beasts. The Stormcast Eternals are ordered by the Order to retake Ghur from the Kruleboyz, an Orruk faction who have made the realm their home. This will not be a simple mission with the war for Ghur becoming a battle of survival, involving arcane powers that twists things. The models in the game have been modelled on the tabletop versions. There will be a number of different maps and each of the four factions will have its own strengths and weaknesses, with each battle playing out differently.
The description of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin says, “With a diverse range of mission types and modes, no two battles are ever the same in Realms of Ruin. Featuring four playable factions that are completely distinct from one another visually and strategically, players will rally their armies, unleashing powerful units to turn the tides of war in their favour. From fast-moving flyers to lumbering monsters, mystical wizards and powerful heroes, each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Players will clash over Arcane Conduits to harvest resources, upgrade and specialise their forces via tech trees, and control the battle across multiple fronts as they seize victory.”
There is no release date yet, but there will be open multiplayer betas taking place. You can sign up for the Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin beta on the
