Following several delays, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crownfinally received a release date last week.
The game will be released on September 12 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
Originally announced in 2020, the third game in Test Drive’s open world Unlimited sub-series was originally due to be released in September 2022 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
However, Nacon later announced that the PS4 and Xbox One versions had been cancelled, and it appears that a Switch version might not see the light of day either, while an Epic Games Store logo is notably absent from the game’s website despite it being available to pre-order on Steam.
“Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is a lifestyle and social experience that redefines the standards of open-world racing games,” read the description accompanying the game’s release date trailer.
“Alone or with friends, explore Hong Kong Island, accurately reproduced at 1:1 scale. Collect exceptional cars from dealerships, customize them in workshops, and showcase your style to reach the elite of the competition.”
