Activision has quickly taken action to resolve the player ban issue within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III caused by using cloud services.
A few hours ago, gamers reported that they were facing bans for playing Activision's latest AAA title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. The issue was caused by running the game through cloud services such as GeForce Now where the game along with Modern Warfare II and Warzone had landed just a day prior.
PSA: Do not play Call of Duty via NVIDIA GeForce NOW for now. There appears to be some glitch where players are being banned in game after it’s detecting playing via cloud as cheating device.

Activision was quick to respond to this issue and has quickly issued a statement in which the game publisher confirms that the issue has now been fully resolved and the bans across the player accounts which were affected have been rolled back which means that they can continue playing the game as usual. Although this ban was inconvenient for many gamers who were enjoying the game and were booted out for several hours, it is good to see that the problem has been taken care of.
The rollback for players impacted by this issue has been completed.

Gamers have recently faced various bans from using technologies from GPU makers such as the GeForce Now cloud-based system or AMD's Anti-Lag+. The Anti-Lag+ technology is yet to see a full resolution and it has been more than a month since the feature got rolled back for causing in-game player bans across various games including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Counter-Strike 2 and Apex Legends (to name a few).
