There's always a lot more to do than just mindlessly gun down enemies, and the learning curve of the game centers around understanding how to take on specific enemies and avoid their unique strengths while finding their weaknesses. Although some strategies can be obvious, like aiming for the oversized glowing abdomen of a Bile Spewer, others take a bit more experience to discover and master.
It's all too easy to get overwhelmed by Stalkers in , but it doesn't have to be. These Terminids have a lot going for them, with high speeds, significant damage output, and the ability to cloak themselves to make targeting hard. All of this is still manageable when dealing with one at a time, but when Stalkers keep showing up in the midst of battle with insectoid hordes, the mission of spreading Managed Democracy throughout the galaxy can end up going south very quickly.
Stalkers are a returning enemy from the original, but veterans of the first game can still be in for a nasty surprise when dealing with them in the sequel.
