This September 16 will be the best possible chance to enjoy all the latest movies at theatres at a much cheaper rate. That's because National Cinema Day celebrations will be happening on that day and, notably, movie tickets will be priced at just Rs. 75, Multiplex Association of India (MAI) officially announced. The massive discount on movie tickets is like a "thank you" gesture for movie-lovers who have contributed to reopening the cinema after the long break due to the pandemic. MAI says that National Cinema Day is also an invitation to those who haven't made it back to a cinema near them after the pandemic.
"Cinemas come together to celebrate ‘National Cinema Day' on 16th Sep, to offer movies for just Rs.75. #NationalCinemaDay2022 #16thSep” MAI tweeted. This comes after the celebration of the first Cinema Day in America, which was celebrated on September 3 with the price capped at just $3.
It also mentioned that the Indian film industry had seen a sharp recovery in the film exhibition business, globally after the pandemic. MAI further mentioned some of the biggest releases of this year such as KFG: Chapter 2, RRR, Vikram, Bhool Bhulaiya 2, and Hollywood hits like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Now, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra is all set to release on September 9, which will likely benefit from the huge price drop in movie tickets on this special occasion. More details of the special offers can be checked through the websites of participating cinemas, their websites, and social media handle.
