Vivo has expanded its Y-Series lineup in India with the launch of a new budget phone, the Vivo Y16. With an affordable price, it competes against Moto G52, Redmi Note 10S, Samsung Galaxy F22, and other budget smartphones in this segment. The Vivo Y16 features a 6.51-inch HD+ display along with a flat frame with a 2.5D curve design with rounded corners. It is powered by the MediaTek P35 octa-core processor to handle mundane daily tasks and smooth experience, coupled with 4GB RAM, that can be expanded by another 1GB RAM. It features a triple card slot that supports memory expansion of up to 1TB.
At an affordable price, you get an AI-powered dual rear camera setup headlined by a 13MP main camera and a 2MP macro camera for photography. While, in the front, Vivo Y16 features a 5MP selfie camera. Vivo Y16 runs on the latest Funtouch OS 12 that is based on the Android 12 platform. It also brings Multi Turbo and Ultra Game Mode to provide an additional boost to the phone while gaming. For security, it features a side Fingerprint scanner along with Face Wake feature to unlock the device quickly. All of these features are backed by a 5000mAh battery.
The new Vivo Y16 has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 9,999 for 3GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant. However, there is another 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant which is priced at Rs. 12,499. You can find the Y16 available in two colours —Stellar Black and Drizzling Gold.
It is available for purchase on Vivo India e-store and across all partner retail stores. However, can avail of cashback of up to Rs. 1,000 using Kotak, IDFC, OneCard, BOB, Federal, AU bank cards across all partner retail stores.
