Niantic has announced that the Pokemon GO Community Day Pokemon for October will be Litwick, the Ghost and Fire-type Pokemon. This Community Day will mark the debut of Litwick's shiny form to the game.
Pokemon GO keeps with its Season of Light theme by using a Pokemon with ghastly origins, choosing Litwick, which is shaped like a candle but has darker connotations being a Ghost and Fire-type Pokemon. Even then, the spawn rate of Litwick was not as high as other Pokemon.

Friends will be able to trade Pokemon at reduced cost and can perform two special trades during Community Day hours. There will also be extended chances for shiny hunting Litwick after the Community Day hours. Trainers that do in-person 4-star Lampert raids will get increased Litwick spawns for 30 minutes and 300 meters of the raid gym after it ends with the Community Day shiny spawn rate.
