Ahead of the launch of a limited-availability Switch Online playtest for an upcoming, unnamed Nintendo Switchgame, many of the players who managed to sign up are already (and predictably) leaking details, despite requests from Nintendo to keep things private. Starting on October 10, active Switch Online users were given the opportunity to sign up for a mysterious playtest, which starts on October 23, and told not to disclose information, either from the playtest itself or a website about it, to others.

As reported by IGN, however, some players have immediately leaked details surrounding the upcoming game before the playtest even starts, as they were given access to both pre-downloading and a special informational website as of October 21. Although the playtest hasn't started yet, images from the website, such as those posted by @Ethan_ThisGuy on X, have already revealed many of the game's specifics, and have quickly been taken down by Nintendo.
It's far from the first time that details surrounding an upcoming Nintendo Switch game have leaked — had details leaked earlier in October, for example — but it's especially notable that Nintendo is treating this upcoming playtest with a greater degree of secrecy. As discussed in IGN's article, although details from the website were posted almost immediately after access was granted, Nintendo has been almost equally quick at taking those images down wherever they've been able to.
Although Nintendo's been quick on the draw, most of the damage has already been done by the initial leaks — while the images of the website are harder to find now, details from them have already been spread through various forums. General details about the game, as outlined by the website, can be found relatively easily when searching through the right — or wrong — places. More specific details aren't likely to come out until the playtest actually starts on October 23,
