Every game in the series is about adventure, but no entry embodies the simple thrill of it all better than Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Visionary creator Tetsuya Takahashi and his team's trademark sense of thematic melancholy is here in spades, but there's still a more lighthearted touch to it all than you'll find with the sagas of Shulk, Elma, and Noah.

For as free-spirited and fun as it all is, the game is bursting with decidedly complex mechanics. The Pouch mechanic isn't as complicated as the intricacies of combat, but for as adventure-centric an idea as it is, it can still be fairly confusing. Here's how to make your whole team happy with their very favorite items.
Simply put, every party member can stuff something into their pouch for a set period of time before it expires, giving them some form of percentage-based boost in the process. There are enough Pouch Expansion treasures throughout Alrest to expand everyone's pouches from one slot to two, but that's really all you need to know on the surface — everyone on this wild adventure has a pouch of their own, and everyone has their favorite items.
Drivers aren't the only ones with tastes. Blades, too, have their favorite pouch items, and you'll be considering this as part of the full strategy whenever a Blade is equipped to a given Driver.
There are two aspects to take into account here. Favorite categories boost a character's responsiveness to an item by 20 percent. This means every item belonging to, say, the Veggies or Literature category is going to make certain Drivers and Rare Blades happier than others.
