Microsoft has announced its next Xbox Partner Direct scheduled for Wednesday, March 6th, at 10am PT / 1pm ET.
In a new Xbox Wire post, Microsoft revealed that its second Partner Preview event will be roughly 30 minutes long and will focus exclusively on third-party games from publishers, including Capcom, EA, and Nexon. So do not expect any first-party games to appear at this showcase, such as Playground Games' upcoming project Fable, The Outer Worlds 2 by Obsidian, or Arkane Lyon's Blade game.
While no specific games were revealed, a few upcoming games from the publishers mentioned in the Xbox Wire post include Capcom's Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, which was revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase last summer, and Tales of Kenzera: Zau, which is developed by Surgent Studios and published by EA with a release date set for next month.
This is the second digital event Xbox has hosted this year following the Developer_Direct that aired last January, where we saw our first look at MachineGames' upcoming project Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, as well as deep dives into games, such as Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 and Avowed.
More interestingly, this is the first developer direct that Xbox has held since its big business update last month, where the gaming giant revealed that it was shifting its business and allowing some of its first-party exclusives to be released on other consoles. A few days later, it was revealed that the first four Xbox first-party games going multiplatform include Obsidian's Grounded and Pentiment, Tango Gameworks' Hi-Fi Rush, and Rare's pirate-themed game Sea of Thieves. All of which will be released before this summer.
