Microsoft has revealed the latest library update for Xbox Game Pass, which will include Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II. Both of these are available now. Additionally, the update will introduce The Callisto Protocol, Isonzo, Depersonalization, and Still Wakes the Deep to the collection through June.
In our Octopath Traveler Review, Stefan said, “Octopath Traveler is a wonderful collection of adventures and stories, but the quirk of storytelling that lends it its name is both its greatest strength and weakness. While the turn-based combat and ‘breaking’ enemies makes practically every battle engaging, the eight tales this game tells don’t really feel like they need to be told together. It’s a little unbalanced because of this, but this remains a charming, beguiling JRPG.”
In our Octopath Traveler II Review, Reuben wrote, “Octopath Traveler II manages to improve on almost every aspect of its predecessor, whether they needed it or not. The exploration is deeper with more nooks and crannies to nose your way through. The combat is far more intricate, giving greater options to build your party and skillset, and a large degree of player choice. The visuals are absolutely beautiful, and the sound design is phenomenal once again. Honestly, Octopath Traveler II has basically negated the need to play the first title, and I cannot think of higher praise.”
Microsoft has also confirmed the games that will be leaving the Xbox Game Pass library this month. They are Bramble: The Mountain King, High on Life, Rune Factory 4 Special Spacelines from the Far Out, and The Bookwalker. All of these titles will be removed on June 15th.
