Recently, Xbox Game Pass added Tunic to its lineup of games, allowing subscribers to jump into the highly-rated, Zelda-esque experience. This particular release came as a surprise since Tunic did not appear on the previous list of Xbox Game Pass titles for March 2022. Eight other additions to the subscription service were featured front and center instead, including the likes of F1 2021 (via EA Play) and Crusader Kings III. Plus, action-RPG Weird West is scheduled to release day-and-date on Game Pass come March 31.
Developer by Silverback Productions alum Andrew Shouldice, Tunic takes the form of an action-adventure title that players control from an isometric view. Shouldice's design choices most notably harkened back to classic Legend of Zelda games, thereby producing an experience brimming with exploration opportunities and keen attention to detail that demands close inspection. And, fortunately, a deal with a certain platform-holder means even more players can experience all that Tunic has on offer, from its adorable fox protagonist to the stunning soundtrack composed by Lifeformed.

To the delight of Xbox Game Pass subscribers, Microsoft shadow dropped Tunic on the service yesterday, March 16. This is no doubt a boon for the platform, given that the Andrew Shouldice-developed adventure counts among the highest-rated games of 2022 with a Metacritic score of 87 (PC). At the time of writing, Xbox has yet to specify how long Tunic will remain available on Game Pass. The talk of the town suggests members will want to begin exploring the colorful world as soon as possible, though, since it boasts a charm that players should not miss out on.
