An Xbox fan found a copy of Halo 2 limited edition with an unused Xbox Live code from 2004. Halo 2 is considered to be one of the greatest multiplayer shooters of all time.
It was recently announced that Halo 2’s E3 demo is coming to the Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which is a part of the game that the public has not had the chance to play. However, for fans of the franchise, the original game on Xbox is still the purest way to experience Halo andHalo 2. Fans will need an original Xbox and a physical copy of the game, which can be found online and at select stores. A Reddit user by the name of HumanClay96 did just that, but also found something interesting in the copy of Halo 2 that they purchased.

HumanClay96 took to Reddit to post a copy of their Halo 2 limited edition steel book. But even though the game is used, the Xbox Live code from 2004 is not. An Xbox Live code is a free membership to Xbox Live that was sometimes included in physical copies of games. It was a big deal at the time, as the Xbox Live code is nostalgic for fans that remember Halo 2 as an industry changing game.
There is much value to be had from physical game collecting, especially when it comes to the nostalgia of older games. However, nostalgia is not needed here — the limited edition steel case of Halo 2 is just as modern looking now as it was when released on the original Xbox.
