If you missed the days of open-world arcade racing, get ready for Wreckreation, a new racer from veterans behind games like Need for Speed and Burnout.
As announced during today’s THQ Nordic showcase, Wreckreation is a new arcade racing game set in a 400 square kilometers (~155 square miles) world where you can design your own crazy race tracks for you and your friends to drive on.
While fans of racing, drifting, and crashing will find plenty of things to do in MixWorld, the true appeal lies in creating ginormous race tracks full of loops, spirals, traps, and more. Design tracks yourself or together with friends online before trying out each other’s courses.
Along with the huge world, players will be able to customize their cars with personal paint jobs, wheels, decals, and more. And with a radio station with 16 channels and Spotify integration, you’ll be able to listen to your favorite tunes while causing mayhem.
Wreckreation was announced alongside a revival of the Alone in the Dark survival horror series. Check out what else was announced during today’s showcase here.
