A World of Warcraft fan has paid homage to the upcoming Classic revamp of Wrath of the Lich King by creating an Arthas model conversion using figures from Warhammer 40,000. The clever World of Warcraft model was created by kitbashing several Warhammer 40,000 models together to create the Lich King as a Chaos Space Marine.
The custom Arthas model was created by Redditor Fizzlethewizzle. In addition to being a big World of Warcraft fan, Fizzlethewizzle is an active member of the Warhammer 40,000 community and has assembled and painted tons of incredible miniatures for their tabletop armies–including several for an ice-themed Chaos Space Marine force.

The kitbashed Lich King Arthas was created to head up the very same army. The hand-painted miniature used Abaddon the Despoiler as its base mini. In addition to their obvious physical similarities–from their fearsome blades to their imposing armor–both characters became champions of the forces of evil, making Abaddon the perfect choice for a base. What’s better, Fizzlethewizzle finished up the incredible model just in time forWrath of the Lich King Classic, which launches in a few weeks.
None of the pieces for the custom Lich King model were 3D printed–Fizzlethewizzle combined existing elements from official Warhammer 40,000 models to create it. Pieces of the Scinari Loreseeker and the Sylvaneth, plus horns from the Citadel Skull Box–along with liberal use of Green Stuff modeling clay–helped to create his head and helmet, while other spikey elements from Morghast helped shape Abaddon’s sword into Frostmourne.
World of Warcraft and Warhammer 40,000 fans across Reddit were astonished by Fizzlethewizzle's work.
