World Buff Changes in Season of Discovery Phase 5
World Buff quests are getting a great quality-of-life change in Season of Discovery Phase 5 — players who have previously completed the quests will now receive a new version once per month to re-activate the World Buff again!

These changes should make it significantly easier for players to obtain world buffs. Additionally, players will have an easier time with Darkmoon Faire buffs as well — obtaining a new DMF Buff is reduced from a four-hour cooldown to just 10 seconds!
World Buffs
- Players who have completed the appropriate quests related to looting the Head of Onyxia, Heart of Hakkar, or the quests involving killing Rend Blackhand will now be able to hand in a repeatable quest once a month to re-trigger these world buff effects. These new quests grant no rewards and confer no other benefits other than triggering the world buff event on your realm.
- There is now a 10-second cooldown on obtaining a new Darkmoon Faire buff from Sayge in Season of Discovery (was a 4 hour cooldown).
Onyxia — Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer
While players would normally receive either an Onyxia Blood Talisman, Dragonslayer's Signet, or Onyxia Tooth Pendant for completing this quest for the first time, subsequent turn-ins will not net you another item.
Rend Blackhand — Might of Stormwind/Warchief's Blessing
Similar to its Onyxian counterpart, Horde players won't be earning a second Mark of Tyranny, Eye of the Beast, or Blackhand's Breadth for subsequent turn-ins on this quest.
Hakkar — Spirit of Zandalar
Introduced in Phase 5, players will have a new version of The Heart of Hakkar to turn in — it's nice that this will take effect immediately for the newest world buff!
