Spoiler warning for Nubia: Queen of the Amazons #1
After the events of the major Wonder Woman crossover Trial of the Amazons, the Amazons are stepping out and taking on a new role in the larger DC Universe. Amazons typically self-sequester on their paradise island of Themyscira, but the events of Nubia: Queen of the Amazons #1 suggests all three Amazonian tribes will be reaching out to the world. With Queen Nubia at the helm, this is a new era for Themyscirans and Wonder Woman.

These three tribes—the Themyscirans, the Bana-Mighdall, and the newly-discovered Brazilian Esquecida, the home-tribe of new Wonder Girl Yara Flor—are often at odds with each other, especially given how private and reserved the Themysciran tribe traditionally tends to be. But with the welcoming of the other tribes onto Themyscira and the public coronation of Nubia, the Amazons are ready to enter a new era and take on a new role in «Man's World.»
