Wonder Man Joining The MCU In New Series From Shang-Chi Director

Wonder Man will join the MCU in a new Disney Plus series from Marvel Studios that is currently in development. Furthermore, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton will help bring the character the life.

Following the critical and box office success of Marvel Studios' Shang-Chi, Cretton inked a deal to produce more content for the MCU through his Family Owned production company. Part of the deal included a Shang-Chi sequel that Cretton will return to as both writer and director.

Now, The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Cretton will serve as an executive producer on the developing Wonder Man series. The project will see Cretton join forces with Brooklyn Nine-NineandCommunity writer-producer Andrew Guest, who will serve as head writer on the Wonder Man show. In addition to his duties as an executive producer, Cretton could potentially direct an episode of the Wonder Man series, if not more. Production on Wonder Man could begin in 2023, though the series is said to be in the early stages of development at this time. Regardless, Cretton is still hard at work developing a Shang-Chi sequel for Marvel Studios.
