Tom Holland has received high praise from fellow Spider-Man: No Way Home co-star Willem Dafoe. The latest entry in the MCU, No Way Home has been a phenomenon since its release in mid-December 2021, becoming Sony's highest-grossing film and sitting in eighth place on the list of highest-grossing films of all time. Notably, this has all been achieved during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Holland as he continues his role as the MCU's friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man/Peter Parker and has to face villains from Sam Raimi and Marc Webb's previousSpider-Man films. Dafoe was the first-ever villain of the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, creating a very memorable character in the process. He reprised the role for Spider-Man: No Way Home, quickly becoming the most anticipated and fan-favourite antagonist of the film as he tested Holland's Peter Parker to his limit. The talented Dafoe returned as the Goblin at the request that he would be allowed to perform his own stunts. Dafoe's Goblin switched up his look as well, initially arriving in the full Goblin suit before deciding to go maskless for the rest of the film.
