The latter title also used New Game Plus as a way to unlock new skills to keep the experience rewarding upon a second playthrough. With these features present in, it came as a surprise to some that they weren't included in upon its launch nearly three years later. Insomniac Games' Community Director, James Stevenson addressed a fan inquiring about New Game Plus and Mission Replay on X, stating that the studio is working on an update to include them post-launch.
Stevenson also went on to provide an estimated timeframe for when they could receive this update. Fortunately, those who have already completed the game won't have to wait long as Stevenson stated it should be released before the end of the year.
