Dracthyr Soar Now Full Dragonriding in Patch 10.2.5 - Ride the Skies Like a True Dragon
Dracthyr's Soar has received a full Dragonriding revamp in Patch 10.2.5 accompanying the availability of Dragonriding throughout all of Azeroth wherever flying is available.
How Does the New Soar Work?
For any Dracthyr that has both completed the Forbidden Reach starting experience and unlocked Dragonriding on their account, Soar will then become equivalent to full dragonriding via Empowered Soaring with access to Vigor and all other Dragonriding abilities. Additionally, Soar's cooldown will be reduced to 10 seconds via Expedited Takeoff.

Developers’ note: Soar dragonriding will become available after learning dragonriding on the account and the Evoker has completed the Forbidden Reach starting experience.
Familiar Skies (Racial) has been removed.
More Dynamic Flight Updates Coming in The War Within
Dragonriding will be transitioning into a new system called Dynamic Flight in The War Within expansion that will allow for more than just dragonriding mounts to traverse the skies at the high velocities currently limited to just dragonriding mounts. Ideally, nearly all flying mounts will be capable of Dynamic Flight so players won't be forced to retire favorite mounts from the past.
