Warning! SPOILERS for Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Obi-Wan Kenobi seemingly killed off a major villain in its second episode with the likely intent to bring other villains into the spotlight. Obi-Wan Kenobi's first two episodes debuted on Disney+ on May 27, with Ewan McGregor making his highly anticipated return as the sagely Jedi master. Set 10 years after Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith,Obi-Wan Kenobi follows its hero as he becomes the protector of the young Leia Organa (Vivien Lyra Blair) while she's pursued by the Grand Inquisitor (Rupert Friend).
The villain's plan doesn't end up going the way he expected it to, with the Grand Inquisitor's associate Reva Sevandar a.k.a. Third Sister (Moses Ingram) killing him right as they've caught up to Obi-Wan and Leia. While this was a most unexpected turn, the Grand Inquisitor's death likely isn't permanent. Instead, the initial presentation of the Grand Inquisitor as Obi-Wan Kenobi's main villain was probably a bait-and-switch for Reva as the real antagonist of the show.

With four episodes remaining in Obi-Wan Kenobi, the show has set expectations very high for Reva's ruthlessness in her pursuit of Obi-Wan and Leia.
There's also the return of Darth Vader on the show with Hayden Christensen reprising the role, with Obi-Wan Kenobi re-introducing Darth
