Kim Kardashian is being questioned by The Kardashians fans, who are asking about the intent behind the second rebrand of her KKW company. Kim took to Instagram earlier this month to announce that KKW Fragrance will shut down to undergo another revamp beginning in May. Many fans assumed the rebrand was to change the name now that she no longer goes by her KKW initials. But despite Kim's divorce from Kanye West, she says her name change isn't why she's rebranding KKW for a second time.
Kim announced KKW Beauty would be on hiatus while undergoing a rebrand beginning in August 2021. Kim's KKW Beauty joined Kylie Cosmetics in changing ownership and rebranding the cosmetic empires. With the pandemic changing the demand for beauty products, Kim and Kylie seemingly had to figure out how to keep their cosmetic businesses in touch with the changing tides. Kim has been promoting her KKW Fragrance line and an upcoming skincare line that has yet to release. But now, less than a year later, the company is undergoing another revamp and name change.

Kim recently opened up about the intent behind the latest KKW rebrand and why her divorce has nothing to do with the name change. “Everyone thinks like, ‘Oh my God, it’s just to get the ‘W’ off,'” Kim said in the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. She then went on to explain why she decided a rebrand was necessary. “I felt so bad that the customer had to go from KKW Beauty, then would go to KKW Skin, then would go to KKW Fragrance — that’s shipping costs at three different websites," she explained.
