Kim Kardashian Didn’t Speak To Kanye For 8 Months After Filing For Divorce
Divorce is never easy, and The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian revealed that she and Kanye West didn’t speak to each other for eight months after she filed for divorce. After allegedly struggling with their marriage for numerous years, the Skims founder officially separated from Kanye in February 2021. The pair share four children together: North, 8; Saint, 6; Chicago, 3; and Psalm, 2. While Kanye initially protested the divorce, claiming he wanted Kim to take him back for the sake of their children, she has recently been moving on romantically with Saturday Night Live comic Pete Davidson.
Any divorce is difficult but especially when children are involved. Kanye responded poorly to the split, making many since-deleted social media posts slamming Kim, her parenting style and her new boyfriend. His posts and subsequent diss track in which he threatens to physically assault Pete, whom the rapper refers to as “Skete,” caused Kim to expedite the divorce process. Leveraging Kanye’s erratic behavior, Kim was declared legally single in March while technically being off the market as she continues to date Pete. Kanye has since relaxed his behavior online as he and Kim continue to settle their custody and marital conflicts more privately.

In an interview for Dear Media’s Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast with Amanda Hirsch, Kim claimed she didn’t speak to Kanye for eight months after filing for divorce.
