The filming has generated a massive amount of excitement in the U.K., with set photos shared by major British newspapers. Curiously, though, not all the Doctor Who fanbase is especially enthused. A growing minority of Whovians are complaining that talk of the 60th anniversary special is detracting from Whittaker's departure. Some are focusing their complaints on Davies himself, arguing he ought to be avoiding making major announcements until after Whittaker has left. In their view, all this hype is disrespectful to Whittaker.
