Ms. Marvel co-creator Sana Amanat recently explained episode 4's surprising twist ending. The latest MCU Disney+ television series stars Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, a Jersey City high school student who becomes imbued with cosmic powers through an old bangle sent to her by her grandmother. Kamala Khan became the first Muslim superhero to headline her own comic book series, and now she is the first Muslim character to lead an MCU project.

This was spurred by a vision of a train in episode 3, «Destined,» that both Kamala and Sana received due to the ClanDestines' leader Najma (Nimra Bucha) attempting to use the bangle. In Pakistan, Kamala set out to discover clues regarding her great-grandmother Aisha's (Mehwish Hayat) past and their familial origin as Djinns, a group of beings from a separate dimension known as the Noor. After encountering an ancient order of heroes known as the Red Daggers, she once again faced off against Najma and the ClanDestines, causing her to be seemingly transported back in time following a blow to her bangle.
