Sadly, it will not have an immediate impact. 5G services will be rolled out in a phased manner in the country. In the first phase, there are 13 cities that will be blessed with the 5G networks. These cities list includes - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune. That means, if you are residing in one of these cities then you will be among the first to enjoy 5G services.
The rest of the cities, towns and villages will receive 5G services in the next phase in the coming months. In the next two-three years, 5G services are set to reach all of India.
Bharti Airtel suggested that the company is planning to expand the 5G service in most major cities by the end of 2023. Also, the company said that 5G will be available in towns and key rural areas by March 2024.
