Jemaine Clement, who created the FX series, What We Do in the Shadows, confirms that season 4 has already completed filming. The series takes place in the same universe as the 2014 film of the same name, which Clement co-wrote with Oscar-winner Taika Waititi, who also directed. Presented in mockumentary format, it follows the exploits of an unlikely vampiric group in the Tri-state area: married couple Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) and Laszlo (Matt Berry), former Ottoman warrior Nandor (Kayvan Novak), banal energy vampire Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch), and Nandor's human familiar Guillermo (Harvey Guillén).
What We Do in the Shadows premiered on FX in 2019 and managed to avoid a huge production gap caused by COVID-related delays at the beginning of the pandemic, because season 2 had already concluded production before the lockdowns. The series was then renewed for season 4 in August 2021 before season 3 began airing. Season 3 aired its finale on October 28, 2021, and since then, all has been quiet on the vampiric front until today.

On Twitter, Jemaine Clement recently posted about the upcoming season 4 of the New Zealand What We Do in the Shadows spinoff, Wellington Paranormal. When a fan asked if he had any updates about season 4 of What We Do in the Shadows, Clement, who left the writers room of the series after season 2, reminded people he's no longer working directly on the series. However, he confirmed that it has "been shot" and "is on its way very soon." Check out his post below:
