The titular Bridgerton family has a lot of kids, so it's easy to lose track of how old all eight Bridgerton siblings are. Bridgerton season 2, set to drop on Netflix on Friday, March 25, takes place a year after the events of season 1. Though Simon (Regé-Jean Page) will not be returning this season, the rest of the Bridgerton family will be back for more drama and romance.
Bridgerton, set in Regency Era London and based on the historical romance novel series by Julia Quinn, focuses on the eight Bridgerton siblings: Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth. Adapted from the first book, The Duke and I, Bridgerton's season 1 focused on Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) as she makes her debut into London society and enters a fake courtship with Simon that soon becomes real. Bridgerton season 2 will focus on Anthony and his journey to find a wife. It's based on the second book, The Viscount Who Loved Me. Though Anthony has sworn off love after his heart is broken by opera singer Siena Rosso (Sabrina Bartlett), he soon gets into romantic entanglements in Bridgerton season 2. Anthony sets his sight on courting Edwina Sheffield (Charithra Chandran), though her older sister Kate (Simone Ashley) is dead-set on stopping this courtship. Though Kate and Anthony start off feuding, the sparks soon start flying between them.

Though the Netflix series obviously takes some liberties with the historical accuracy of the era, it's still steeped in the constraints and social mores of London high society of the time.
