Line of Duty season 7 could still happen, according to star Martin Compston. Despite only wrapping up its potential final season last year, the cop drama has become quintessential British TV viewing, making household names of stars Compston, Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar. The twist-heavy investigations of anti-police corruption squad AC-12 also recently attracted the attention of Stephen King, with Line of Duty's season 6 acting as the perfect distraction from a real-life horror the author endured.
But while viewers clamor for more Line of Duty, season 6 seemingly wrapped up the show's overarching storyline once and for all. The show finally revealed the identity of the thorn in AC-12's side, the mysterious H, a corrupt police officer who acted as the ringleader behind many of the squad's criminal investigations. Although the show managed to tie off many of its loose ends with season 6, many were left disappointed with the reveal of H, leading fans to call out for more episodes of the popular police drama.

Talking to Radio X, Compston has revealed his thoughts on revisiting Line of Duty for a potential season 7. When asked if another season was a possibility, Compston said "we think so", explaining that, while he appreciates fan demand, "there's nothing changed" in reference to the year or so break between each season. Compston also explained how, due to Covid restrictions, season 6 wasn't an enjoyable filming experience. Check out his comments below:
