@RogerRoger Yeah, the controls are bizarre and the handling on the cars just makes aiming a nightmare. Hard to put into words how painful it feels to play.

@nessisonett It's interesting 'cause I've played four PSone re-releases at this point, but they're all games I've been playing semi-regularly since childhood, so I could enjoy 'em with plenty of muscle memory. I'm curious to try one that's new to me, to see if I struggle or not (generally speaking, of course; I get that individual game quality is a wide scale, and that some things do just control badly).

I'm not hugely familiar with the Twisted Metal series. Perhaps it's one of those examples where the second game was lucky to get made, and was improved enough to define the whole legacy?
