YouTube has a 'Most Replayed' feature that can help users find out the most popular parts of the video they’re watching. YouTube was founded in 2005 as a repository for amateur videos, but has since grown to become the world's leading crowdsourced video platform, with over two billion registered users globally as of 2021. With so many users, it is not surprising that hundreds of hours of video are streamed on YouTube every minute.
YouTube updates its apps and website with new features every so often, but it also deprecates existing features from time to time. One such feature that was deprecated recently was the 'dislike' count on videos. According to YouTube, the hiding of the dislike count on all videos was designed to help tackle coordinated dislike campaigns. The move came in for a lot of criticism from various quarters, with many users reacting to YouTube's original announcement with dismay. However, a new free and open-source browser extension called 'Return YouTube Dislike' has since brought back the dislike count, much to the delight of many.

'Most Replayed' was originally available as an experimental feature for YouTube Premium subscribers, but it is now available to all users irrespective of whether they have a premium subscription or not. It is also available across all major platforms, including Android, iOS and the web. To help users locate the most replayed parts in a video, YouTube is adding a graph that will show which parts of the video have been replayed most often. It would be especially helpful for longer videos that haven't been broken down into different sections using timestamps or chapters.
