What Is a Season Journey in Diablo 4?
The Season Journey in Diablo 4 is the player's guide through all of the new Seasonal Content. Each new Season in Diablo 4 will have its own unique Season Journey that players can follow in order to experience the game and earn rewards along the way! Diablo 4 Season 1 Overview Official 'Season of the Malignant' Blog In Season of the Malignant, the Season Journey will be divided into 7 Chapters. By completing these Chapters, players will be able to unlock Caches, new Codex of Power Aspects, and Greater Favor drops.
In order to progress to the next Season Journey Chapter, players will need to complete a number of Objectives within each Chapter. Objectives can be anything from completing a Dungeon to salvaging an item, or even interacting with the Seasonal Mechanic. While there may be many Objectives associated with a certain Chapter, only a portion of these Objectives will need to be completed in order to progress to the next Chapter.
For example, in the below image, there are 9 total Objectives in Chapter 1, but players will only be required to complete 7 of these Objectives in order to move on to the next Chapter. This gives players more choice over which types of content they would prefer to participate in, in order to progress their Season Journey. In addition to progressing the Season Journey Chapters, completing Objectives will also reward players with Smaller Favor drops.
Earning Favor is how players will progress their seasonal Battle Pass. At the end of a Season Journey, players will also be rewarded with a new item called a Scroll of Amnesia. This item will allow a character to completely reset their entire Skill Tree and Paragon Board for free, in case a player ever wants to try out a new build.
