What do My 600-Lb Life patients Brandi and Kandi look like now? Reality show My 600-Lb Life is the brainchild of TV producer Jonathan Nowzaradan (Shipping Wars) and has aired ten seasons since debuting on TLC in 2012. Each episode chronicles a year in the life of an obese patient as they attempt to bring down their weight to a healthy level with the help of Nowzaradan’s father Dr Younan Nowzaradan – a surgeon and weight loss expert affectionately known by those he helps as “Dr Now.”
Dr. Now’s methods range from putting his patients on strict diet and exercise programs to performing weight loss surgery and he’s helped well over 100 people improve their health over the course of the TLC reality show’s ten seasons. Sadly, a number of past My 600-Lb Life cast members have passed away since appearing in the series including season 6’s Rob Buchel and season 5’s James King who died in 2017 and 2020 respectively. However, the show has produced a lot of success stories too like twin sisters Brandi and Kandi Dreier who were the focus of My 600-Lb Life’s season 5 premiere in early 2017.
